    Cusco

    We start the tour with pickup from your accommodation in Cusco between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. (timetable may vary depending on train availability). Our team will pick you up and transfer you to the appropriate train station, with the aim of taking one of the first trains to Aguas Calientes (also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo). This early schedule allows you to arrive in good time in Aguas Calientes and purchase entrance tickets to Machu Picchu in case the tour has been booked at the last minute. The visiting circuit within Machu Picchu is subject to availability depending on the daily capacity of the archaeological site.

    Ollantaytambo

    After the transfer from Cusco, we will arrive at the village of Ollantaytambo, in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Here we board the tourist train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu. During the train journey, approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, you can enjoy spectacular Andean landscapes, valleys, rivers and jungle mountains, all from the comfort of your seat. This railway experience is one of the most impressive in Peru, ideal for taking pictures and beginning to connect with the history and nature surrounding Machu Picchu.

    Machu Picchu

    Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes train station, a representative of our agency will be waiting for you to provide personalized assistance. If you do not already have your entrance ticket to Machu Picchu, our staff will accompany you to manage the purchase of one of the tickets available for the following day (timetables, routes and circuits are subject to availability). If you already have the entrance ticket, you will be transferred directly to your accommodation (not included in the tour). The rest of the day is free for you to explore Aguas Calientes on your own.     Guided tour of Machu Picchu Citadel According to the timetable assigned on your ticket and the circuit available, we will take the ecological bus that connects Aguas Calientes with the citadel of Machu Picchu. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes and offers panoramic views of the mountainous and jungle landscape. Upon arrival at the entrance of Machu Picchu Archaeological Park, we will begin the guided tour accompanied by an accredited professional guide. For approximately 21⁄2 hours, we will tour the most emblematic sectors of the site: temples, platforms, squares, and viewpoints, while discovering the history, architecture and cultural legacy of the Inca civilization. The specific route within Machu Picchu will depend on the circuit available, according to the rules established by the Ministry of Culture of Peru.

    Aguas Calientes

    Return to Aguas Calientes and departure by train After finishing the guided tour in Machu Picchu, we will board again the bus back to Aguas Calientes (also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo). This 30-minute drive will allow you to relax and enjoy the views as you descend from the mountain. Once in the village, you will have free time for lunch at one of the local restaurants or shopping at the artisan markets. It is recommended to show up at the train station at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure. The return train journey to Ollantaytambo takes approximately 2 hours. During the journey, you can rest.

    Ollantaytambo

    Return transfer to Cusco Upon arrival at the train station in Ollantaytambo, a tourist vehicle will be waiting for you to start the transfer back to your hotel in Cusco. This journey takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, depending on the traffic and the final station assigned by the railway company. Important: The train arrival station is subject to ticket availability at the time of booking and can be in one of the following: Ollantaytambo, Pachar, Poroy or San Pedro (Cusco downtown). Your local operator will confirm your assigned station in advance, along with the corresponding logistical details. Note: this tour is designed for travelers planning their trip at the last minute which will give them the option to acquire the revenue in Machu Picchu Pueblo, the circuits are subject to availability, and may also require an additional night and expenses for train ticket modifications.
