We will start our tour at 6:00 a.m. in Plaza Regocijo. The bus will leave for Hidroeléctrica at 6:20 a.m., with an approximate 7-hour bus ride. During the trip, we will be able to appreciate different types of natural scenery, such as the Sacred Valley of the Incas, high Andean landscapes, the snowy La Verónica - Abra Málaga, and above all the humid or high jungle of the Cusco region. We will make two brief stops, one in Ollantaytambo and another in Alfamayo, both of 15 minutes so that you can have breakfast or use the services. We estimate arriving at Hidroeléctrica between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., where we will have our lunch. After lunch, we will begin our walk to Aguas Calientes, which will last approximately between 2 hours and 30 minutes and 3 hours, depending on the physical condition of each person. The estimated time of arrival to the town of Aguas Calientes will be between 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
We will start at 4:30 a.m. from 2,200 masl to ascend to Machu Picchu at 2,400 masl. The walk will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, with the option of taking a bus (not included). At 7:00 a.m., we will meet the guide at the main entrance to receive information on how to visit the city, which will be done on your own (This program does not have a Guided Tour inside Machu Picchu, if you want a Private Guide, you must consult the Operator). After the visit to the City, you will take the path to climb the Waynapicchu mountain at 2,700 masl, without a guide, but with the necessary information provided. Afterwards, enjoy free time in Machu Picchu. It is recommended to descend to Aguas Calientes around 1:00 p.m. on foot (1 hour) or by bus (25 minutes, not included). In Aguas Calientes, you can visit the Machu Picchu Museum, the Butterfly Museum, or relax in the hot springs. You will spend the night in a comfortable hotel.
After breakfast, you will leave the town of Aguas Calientes at approximately 10:00 a.m. heading to the bus station in Hidroeléctrica, making the return walk, which will take about 3 hours. Once in Hidroeléctrica, our vehicles will be available from 1:20 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., at which time you can board the minibus bound for the city of Cusco. Arrival in Cusco is estimated between 9:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., at the Plaza de San Francisco, which is the end point of the service.
