Hotel pickup is available for accommodations located within Cusco’s Historic Center. If the accommodation is outside this area, passengers must proceed directly to the Cusco Bus Terminal.
At the time of booking, travelers must specify whether they require hotel pickup or if they will arrive at the bus terminal on their own.
Passengers boarding at the Cusco Bus Terminal must arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled bus departure at 10:00 p.m. Travelers are advised to carry their ID or passport.
Travelers will be picked up from their hotel located in Cusco’s Historic Center and transferred to the bus terminal. If the hotel is located outside the Historic Center, travelers must inform in advance to coordinate pickup or proceed directly to the terminal. At 10:00 p.m., travelers will board a tourist bus or regular service heading to the city of Puno. During the overnight journey, passengers can rest while traveling through the scenic landscapes of the Andean highlands. The trip lasts approximately 7 hours, arriving in Puno around 5:00 a.m.
Upon arrival at the Puno bus terminal, travelers will be welcomed and transferred to a designated location to enjoy the included breakfast. After breakfast, travelers may wait at the same location or head to Puno’s Main Square or the Miguel Grau Pier, where tour pickup will begin between 8:00 a.m. and 8:15 a.m.
Travelers will navigate across Lake Titicaca to reach the famous Uros Floating Islands, built entirely from totora reeds. Local residents will welcome visitors and explain their history, traditions, and way of life. There will be time to explore the island, take photographs, and participate in an optional traditional totora reed boat ride offered by the community.
The journey continues with an approximately three-hour boat ride to Amantani Island. Upon arrival, travelers will be welcomed by local families who will host them. Guests will enjoy a traditional lunch, and in the afternoon, they will hike to the ceremonial centers of Pachatata and Pachamama, where panoramic views of Lake Titicaca can be appreciated. In the evening, travelers will participate in a cultural activity featuring traditional music and dances with the local community.
After enjoying a traditional breakfast with the host family, travelers will sail to Taquile Island. During the visit, they will hike toward the main square while observing the daily life of local residents. The guide will explain the island’s textile tradition, recognized by UNESCO, and travelers will learn about the traditional weaving and wool-dyeing process.
After lunch on Taquile Island, travelers will board the boat back to the city of Puno, arriving at approximately 4:30 p.m. Upon arrival, travelers will be transferred to their hotel in downtown Puno, the Main Square, or the bus terminal. Transfer to Juliaca Airport is available for an additional cost.
