Start your day with us in the charming lakeside village of Virpazar, the gateway to Lake Skadar’s internationally renowned bird reserve. As the sun rises and the lake awakens, you’ll step aboard a traditional wooden boat - just as locals have for generations - to explore one of Europe’s richest bird habitats.
This is the best time for bird-watching: the water is calm, the air is fresh, and hundreds of bird species are at their most active. Whether you’re a seasoned ornithologist or love the peace of nature, you’ll be captivated by sights like elegant herons, flocks of cormorants gliding over the water, and even the majestic Dalmatian pelican - but for this sighting bring some luck.

Meeting and pickup
Join us at the Kingfisher desk near the bridge in Virpazar. Search "Kingfisher Boat & Kayak - Lake Skadar, P16, Virpazar, Montenegro" on Google Maps (not just "P16, Virpazar, Montenegro" -it will show the incorrect address). Check-in is 15min before departure. If you are late notify us via WhatsApp.

The three wild islands are next, a perfect place to spot our avian friends. After that, we will head back to Virpazar.
