Begin your morning with us in the picturesque village of Virpazar, the perfect gateway to Lake Skadar’s world-famous bird reserve. As dawn breaks and the lake comes alive, you’ll board a traditional wooden boat, just as generations of locals have done, to discover one of Europe’s most vibrant bird habitats.
Early hours are ideal for birdwatching: the waters are still, the air is crisp, and the birdlife is bustling. Whether you’re an avid birder or simply love the tranquillity of nature, you’ll be enchanted by graceful herons, flocks of cormorants skimming the surface, and, if fortune favours you, a glimpse of the magnificent Dalmatian pelican.

Join us at the Kingfisher desk near the bridge in Virpazar. Search "Kingfisher Boat & Kayak - Lake Skadar, P16, Virpazar, Montenegro" on Google Maps (not just "P16, Virpazar, Montenegro" -it will show the incorrect address). Check-in is 15min before departure. If you are late notify us via WhatsApp.
