We start from Cusco or Urubamba, after being picked up from your hotel, you’ll head to the Ollantaytambo train station to take the train to Aguas Calientes. In Aguas Calientes, you'll be picked up by one of our local guides to take the bus to the entrance and start your Machu Picchu tour. Afterwards, you'll have time to eat lunch, we accompany you to the train station and you return to Ollantaytambo. There, our driver awaits you to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.

Ideal for those who don't have the time to stay overnight in Aguas Calientes, this 1 day trip from Cusco to Machu Picchu lets you see the lost city of the Incas in just one day. You'll get picked up from your Cusco accommodations or Urubamba then ride to Ollantaytambo to catch the train (your choice of train) to Aguas Calientes town. Then you will board the bus to the Inca city of Machu Picchu, for your 3-hour guided tour.

What to expect

We will pick you up at 05:20 am then drive for 1 hour and half to the village of Ollantaytambo which is located in the Sacred Valley where we'll take our train to Aguas Calientes. With unparalleled landscape throughout the journey, the train journey itself is a lifetime experience. Following the Urubamba River downstream the Sacred Valley. you'll get to Aguas Calientes at 09:15 am, then take the bus up to Machu Picchu for your guided tour of the archaeological site. We will enter Machu Picchu between 10 and 11 a.m.. The guided tour lasts for about 3 hours during which you'll learn about the Inca civilization and visit all the highlights of the Machu Picchu.

After visiting the citadel you'll catch the bus down to Aguas Calientes where you will have lunch then you will board the train at 16:22 pm back to Ollantaytambo, then go on by private van to Cusco. We will drop you off at 08:20 pm in your hotel.
