The Inca Trail 4 days is part of a gigantic road infrastructure built by the great Inca Empire. The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu played a very important role within the Inca territory, thanks to the access roads and the messengers (Chasquis) that traveled these roads could carry products and transmit information to all parts of the Inca domain.

The sacred citadel of Machu Picchu was of great importance in times of the empire, so it was connected to the Inca capital of Cusco through numerous roads and it is precisely one of them that for centuries remained almost intact under the lush nature and today in Well implemented day leads us to the famous world wonder.

    Day 1

    CUSCO - PISKAKUCHO - WAYLLABAMBA

    Cusco

    Early in the morning at 6:00 am, then take a transport to Km 82 starting point of the classic Inca Trail. The hike along the Inca route passes through the towns of Chinchero, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo, and precisely this last population will offer us a breakfast before continuing to km 82. The first section of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu will take place along the Urubamba River valley with an excellent view of the Veronica Snow (5 850 m) and we will also visit the first attraction of Patallaqta. The Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu continues until we reach the valley of the Cusichaca River where we will enjoy our first lunch. After a short nap we will continue to the town and camp of Huayllabamba (3000 m) where we will spend the first night. Distance: 10 km Accommodation: Camp (2 people per tent).

    WAYLLABAMBA - DEAD WOMAN STEP - PAKAYMAYU

    After a nutritious breakfast we will start with our Walk in a leisurely way to the passage of the dead woman (4200 m), crossing a beautiful forest of native trees and streams. We will have attractive views of the Andean landscape, we will arrive at Llulluchapampa (3 750 m) a typical valley of the Andes chain at the foot of the highest pass. After reaching the pass, we will descend to the Pacaymayo Valley (3 620 m) where we will camp. The entire route traveled is part of the extraordinary construction of the Caminos del Inca network. Distance: 12 km. Accommodation: Camp (2 people per tent).

    PAKAYMAYU - PHUYU PATAMARKA - WIÑAYHUAYNA

    Winay Wayna

    This is one of the most beautiful days of the Inca Trail, as we will pass through many levels of altitudes and archaeological groups. Half the second step costs we will visit the archaeological complex of Runkurakay, as well as we will have a spectacular view of the Urubamba valley. We will resume our walk to the passage of the same name (3 925 m), and then we will visit the archaeological groups of Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca, intipata and Wiñaywayna for the rest of the day. All these archeological sites are linked together by a wonderful Inca trail built in white granite, camouflaged among the abundant vegetation of the high jungle. Our Wiñaywayna camp is located with a wide view of the valleys and misty mountains that make this place even more magical at an altitude of (2650 m). Distance: 16 km. Accommodation: Camp (2 people per tent)

    PUERTA DEL SOL - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO

    Machu Picchu

    The last part of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu 4 days begins at 3:30 am, then go to the Puerta del Sol. Our true walk continues at 5:30 am, in the middle of a dense vegetation typical of the rainforest towards the Puerta del Sol or Inti Punku. From this point we will have an impressive panoramic view of the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. After some photos we will continue for half an hour more until we reach the main entrance of Machu Picchu. Once arrived we will have a guided tour of 2 hours to visit the most important places of Machu Picchu. Then they will have free time to visit Machu Picchu on their own. At the end of the day we will move to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will take the train to return to Ollantaytambo and then by bus to the city of Cusco. Distance: 5 km Food: Breakfast
