Our trekking is full of nature and biodiversity, the first 2 days are in the high mountains around 4000meters, surrounded by snow peaks and beautiful blue lakes, the third day is passing the Andean mountain and approaching to the jungle where the hot springs relax the tired muscles, the last 2 days have activities like zip-lining activity, and of course one of the 7 wonders of the world Machupicchu.

You can send us the details of your hostel in Cusco when you can, at least 24 hours before the start tour day. We will pass by your hotel between 5:30 to 6:00 am to pick you up, you can wait for us at the reception of the hotel.

    HUMANTAY LAKE AND FIRST CAMPING AREA.

    Humantay Lake

    We will start our adventure by picking up at 4:30am each passenger from their respective lodgings, before embarking on a 4 hour bus ride. our first stop would be in Mollepata at an altitude of 2900meters (9514 FASL) for about 30 minutes break, then continue with our journey directly to the last bus stop in Challacancha where we will meet our porters and horses who will carry the equipment and were we start our hiking for 4 hours toward Soraypampa at 3900meters  (12795 FASL) beside the inka water irrigation channels. When we arrive in Soraypampa, we will set-up our first base camp from where we can enjoy the beautiful views of Salkantay´s snow peak where the temperature oscillates in 10°C during the day and 2°C during the night.. And where we will have a break for lunch. After lunch, we will visit The  Humantay Lake at 4200 meters (13779 FASL) for about 1Hour & 30 min walking from the camping area which is conditioned with a four seasons tent coated with a additional roof made of straw at an altitude of 3900mters (12800 FASL).

    PASSING THE EDGE OF THE ANDEANS MOUNTAINS.

    Early in the morning our assistant will wake up the whole expeditionaries to give them a good tea, so they can be better acclimatized by the height, and then we will take our breakfast to be ready to start a 3 hours hike until reach the highest point of our expedition, the Salkantay Pass 4600meters (15091 FASL) full of wonderful sceneries, with powerful and intimidating Andean mountains, then we will do what the Inkas did in the pass, we will pray and ask to the Apus (Mountain Gods) the permit to pass. From there, we walk down towards Wayracpunku (HuayraPampa), to have lunch. Afterwards, the trip will continue going to the high jungle where we will observe large trees with their arms extended over the streams, surrounded by bromeliads and orchids. This walk will takes us around 5 hours to reach our base camp in Chaullay 2900meters (9514 FASL), Where we will have dinner and rest.

    APPROACHING THE INKA JUNGLE TO ENJOY THE HOT SPRINGS

    After having breakfast around 6:30 am, we will head towards Sahuyaco (La Playa) 2000meters (6824 FASL) in a jungle trekking where the temperature oscillates in 25°C during the day and 14°C during the night. We will have lunch in this place. Then we continue our trip in our transport to Santa Teresa 1550meters (5085 FASL) where we will set up our base camp and we will enjoy a relaxing reward in Cocalmayo (Hot Spring) Then we will have a traditional Peruvian dinner and rest well to be prepared for the next day.

    ZIPLINING AND WALKING CLOSE TO MACHUPICCHU

    Aguas Calientes

    The next morning, after a good breakfast, our transportation will pick up from our camping site the passengers who booked the zip line activity (2 hours & 30 minutes activity approx.), this activity has more than 6 cables, the longest one is 1 kilometer, the maximum speed is 70km/h  (45 miles/h), also has a climbing rock and suspension bridge. And those who didn't booked will have 2 hours trekking from Santa Teresa to the hydroelectric where it would be the meeting point and where the entire group will join for lunch and have a break, then we will continue walking along the railway that leads through this great jungle that the Inca knew by heart to our final destination: Aguas Calientes. We walk for about 3 hours and you will find beautiful waterfalls, different ecological farms and possibly the curious wildlife the group will arrive to Aguas Calientes around 5:00 p.m. Here the group will spend the night in a hostel. At night we will all meet at a local restaurant to enjoy a great dinner and have an informative session about our next excursion to Machu Picchu.

    EXPLORING MACHUPICCHU AND RETURNING TO CUSCO.

    Machu Picchu

    We get ready around 4:00 am to climb to Machu Picchu, the trek will follow an ascending path crossing the high jungle, just in time to see the spectacular sunrise in Machupicchu. After passing the control entrance around 6:00am our group will have a private guided tour for 2 hours in the Inca citadel, then you will have free time to enjoy Machu Picchu by yourself. At 11:30am we return by walking (3.5 hours) to Hydroelectric where our bus in waiting for us until 3:00pm to take us to the Cusco city, arriving around 10:00pm. Note 1: There is possibility to spend one more night in Machu Picchu town paying $30 extra, and return next day (if you want to climb Huayna picchu or Mountain Machu Picchu) it is a good idea. Note 2: you can add the train to return after Machupicchu, if you do it like this you can stay in Machupicchu as long as you can, until 5:00pm maximum. Then the train goes from Aguas calientes to Ollantaytambo (1 hour and 40min) then our car will wait for you to take you back to Cusco and drop you off in san Francisco square (2 blocks from the main square) at 10:00pm. Why the train? More time in Machupicchu, faster and more comfortable than the bus and you will enjoy good views on the way.
