The first point of your tour of the Sacred Valley will be the ruins of Ollantaytambo, which is a perfect example of Inca architecture. The local expert will provide you with detailed information on the different areas of the archaeological complex and you will be able to enjoy your tour in a better way.
After exploring the impressive archaeological site of Ollantaytambo, with its ancient terraces and breathtaking Inca architecture, we’ll continue our adventure toward the heart of the Sacred Valley — Urubamba. On the way, we’ll pass through stunning Andean scenery, picturesque farming communities, and fields of corn and quinoa that stretch along the Urubamba River. Upon arrival in Urubamba, we’ll have time to relax, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
After enjoying incredible vies in Urubamba, we will travel to Moray, where we will find circular agricultural terraces, and you will discover the different cultivation methods of the Incas.
We'll then head to Maras, known for its salt mines. A different style of salt is produced here, and you'll be able to learn about the methods used to cultivate this salt. During the tour, we'll pass by places where we'll taste the famous chicha de jora and frutillada, made from strawberries, and learn how to prepare them..
As the last stop we will leave for Chinchero, place of textile weavers. Our knowledgeable guide took a short tour of the agricultural center, quite prominent since the Inca civilization. You will be able to enjoy the crafts of the handmade markets, after the tour you will return to Cusco at approximately 04:00 pm. Arriving at your starting point at your Hotel.
