We start the Cusco City Tour with pickup from your hotel between 8:00 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. Then we will visit the Cathedral of Cusco, the most important church in the city, built in the 16th century. Then we will walk about 8 minutes to the Qoricancha, the Temple of the Sun.
We visit the Coricancha, ancient Temple of the Inca Sun, which still preserves impressive remains. At the end of the visit, we leave by vehicle from the center of Cusco to the imposing fortress of Sacsayhuamán.
We explore Sacsayhuamán, an Inca fortress that reflects the power and engineering of the ancient Andean empire. During the visit you will know its history and origin. After this stop, we continue to the Qenqo ceremonial complex.
Qenqo, ancient Inca ceremonial center dedicated to the worship of its gods, with stone carved altars and underground passages. Then we continue the tour to Puka Pukara, a military fortress.
Puka Pukara, was an Inca military post located to monitor access to Cusco. Its walls, terraces and stairs show the defensive and administrative function it had.
We end with a visit to Tambomachay, known for its ceremonial fountains and its connection to the water cult. The tour concludes at the Plaza de Armas.
