You will see the Humantay Lagoon, a glacial lake of intense turquoise color wedged between the snowy Humantay and Salkantay: a high mountain landscape difficult to match in a single day. The service is door to door: we leave early from your hotel in Cusco by private transport and return to the same point, avoiding transfers and delays. A bilingual professional guide (Spanish/English) accompanies a small group—maximum 16 people—to offer cultural data, walking support, and enough time for photos. If the altitude demands too much, you can rent a horse from the local villagers and enjoy the route without extra effort. In addition, everything is included: breakfast at the beginning of the day, comforting lunch when descending, tickets and oxygen if you need it. Just focus on trekking, panoramic views and capturing the best image of this Andean treasure.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We will pick you up with your companions 20 minutes before the tour departure. It is important that you send us the information about the pick-up up to one day before starting the tour. You can send us the name and location of your accommodation or you can tell us that you want us to pick you up at the meeting point that is Plaza Regocijo.
If it is not possible to pick you up from your hotel or you prefer to go to a meeting point, we will pick you up at Plaza Regocijo, one block from Plaza de Armas.
What to expect
The 1 h 30 min walk crosses Andean landscapes to the stunning glacial lagoon. Our bilingual professional guide will share historical data and help you during the hike, and you can opt for an optional horse rental (not included) to facilitate the climb.
Upon arrival you will have time to rest and take pictures. Finally we start the descent to enjoy lunch included and we start the journey back to Cusco to arrive at approximately 6:00 p.m.
