Along the route, we will stop for photos and to enjoy the diverse ecosystems of the Inca Jungle Trail. We will arrive at Santa María (1,200 m) for lunch. In the afternoon, you may join an optional rafting experience on the Vilcanota River (Class III–III+, US$40). Later, we will continue to Santa Teresa, where the experience becomes truly unforgettable: you will spend the night in a Sky Lodge hanging capsule, suspended on the mountainside. From here, you will enjoy spectacular views of the jungle valley, sunset, and a sky full of stars, an extraordinary and unique accommodation experience.
After breakfast, you may experience an optional zip line adventure over the lush jungle valleys. We will then travel to Hidroelectrica, where we begin a scenic 11 km trek to Aguas Calientes, following the railway surrounded by waterfalls, orchids, and wildlife. Continuing along the Urubamba River, we will arrive in Aguas Calientes, where we will have dinner and stay overnight in a comfortable hotel.
We will wake up early to visit Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. You may hike up or take the shuttle bus to the entrance.
