Day 1: Huaraz (3,100 m) – Private transport to Ticapampa – Cátac – Quebrada Pachacoto – Carbonated Waters – Puya Raimondi (4,300 m) – Cultural Rock Paintings – Nevado Pastoruri (5,000 m) – Return to Huaraz Pick-up at 9:00 a.m. for an unforgettable day of adventure. Along the way we will pass through Recuay (gateway to the Callejón de Huaylas), Ticapampa and Cátac, before entering the scenic Quebrada Pachacoto. Highlights of the route include Laguna Patococha, the carbonated water springs of Pumapampa, the impressive stands of Puya Raimondi (the largest and most extraordinary plant of the Andes), and the magical waters of Pumapashimin, which change color depending on the sunlight. We will also see fascinating ancient rock paintings. Finally, we enjoy a gentle 1-hour hike to reach the majestic Nevado Pastoruri (5,000 m), where we can admire its snowy landscapes, ice caves, and frozen lagoons. We return to Huaraz around 5:30 p.m.
