8:30 AM – Departure: Begin the journey heading south from Huaraz, passing through the picturesque towns of Recuay, Ticapampa, and Catac. First stop: Arrive at the beautiful Querococha Lagoon for a brief stop to enjoy the scenery and take photos. We then continue across the Cahuish Tunnel and begin our descent through the Callejón de Conchucos toward the village of Chavín. Main visit: Explore the impressive Chavín Archaeological Complex, where you’ll see iconic structures such as the Cabeza Clava, the Lanzón Monolítico, the Portico of the Falconidas, and more. Lunch: Free time to enjoy lunch in the village. Last stop: Visit the Chavín National Museum, home to important artifacts that complement your archaeological experience. Return: The tour concludes with the drive back to Huaraz.
With the Llanganuco Lagoon tour, you will discover one of the most iconic attractions of the Cordillera Blanca and Huascarán National Park. After hotel pickup or meeting point check-in, we depart at 8:30 AM heading north from Huaraz, enjoying views of the Cordillera Blanca and the traditional towns of the Callejón de Huaylas. First stop: Carhuaz – visit the Main Square, the Church of San Pedro, and a local shop known for natural fruit ice cream. Second stop: Yungay – visit the Campo Santo, the town buried during the 1970 earthquake. Third stop: Llanganuco Lagoon (Chinancocha, 3,850 m), with stunning turquoise waters, optional boat rides (not included), and short walking trails. Lunch: Free time at a tourist restaurant (avg. S/20, not included). Fourth stop: Taricá, an artisan village where you can watch craftmaking and buy souvenirs. Return to Huaraz around 7:00 PM.
On this tour, you will visit the largest lagoon in the Cordillera Blanca, located within Huascarán National Park. After hotel pickup or meeting point check-in, we will depart at 5:30 AM heading north from Huaraz, enjoying views of the Cordillera Blanca and the traditional towns of the Callejón de Huaylas. First stop: Just outside the town of Caraz, where you can buy water, snacks, and other essentials for the visit. You may also pre-order lunch here. Second stop: Parón Lagoon, where we will take a short hike to the viewpoint for the classic photo shots and to enjoy the impressive scenery of the lagoon and surrounding mountains. Optional: Kayak ride (not included). Lunch: Free time for lunch at a tourist restaurant (average price: S/30, not included). We will return to Huaraz around 6:30 PM.
To reach this destination, the hike begins in Cebollapampa. The trail is a magical path that follows the right side of the stream flowing down from Lake 69, forming beautiful waterfalls along the way. You will also find a great variety of flora that decorates the route. After hotel pickup or meeting point check-in, we will depart at 5:30 AM heading north from Huaraz. First stop: Breakfast at 7:30 AM (not included). Second stop: Starting point of the hike, Cebollapampa (3,900 m), where we begin our ascent. The hike takes approximately 3 hours to reach Lake 69 (4,600 m). We will spend about 1 hour at the lake before returning along the same trail. We expect to arrive back in Huaraz around 6:30 PM.
On the Pastoruri Glacier tour, you will visit the most accessible glacier in the Cordillera Blanca and enjoy the stunning landscapes, flora, and fauna of Huascarán National Park. After hotel pickup or meeting point check-in, we depart at 8:30 AM heading south from Huaraz, enjoying views of the southern Cordillera Blanca and the towns of Recuay, Ticapampa, and Catac. First stop: Patococha, also known as Duck Lagoon, named for the wild ducks inhabiting the lake. Second stop: Puma Pampa Carbonated Water Spring, with a beautiful view of Nevado Mururaju. Third stop: Laguna de Pumapashimi, also called the Seven Colors Spring, where legend says the rainbow is born. Fourth stop: Observe high-Andean flora, including the unique Puya Raimondi. Fifth stop: Pastoruri Base Camp, where we start the approximately 40-minute hike to the glacier. Horse rental is available at an additional cost. Lunch stop: On the return, in Ticapampa. Return to Huaraz around 5:00 PM.
