Your audio guide in 12 languages leads you through at your own pace. You will walk past the original camp walls, down to the granite quarry & the Stairs of Death, & through the permanent exhibition in the former infirmary — built around original objects, photographs, & recorded survivor testimonies. The preserved gas chamber & crematoria are still standing. The memorial park holds monuments from dozens of nations. It is a place that asks something of you, & gives a great deal in return.

This tour will be filled with chilling stories about the forced labor, starvation, torture and death at the camp. You will learn about the 90,000-320,000 victims, including intelligentsia and prisoners of war, who tragically died at the Mauthausen Concentration Camp, and the few that were liberated. Explore the informative museum exhibitions and view an educational film on the Holocaust. After the guided tour you will have free time to spend at the memorial or eat lunch before returning to your accommodation in Salzburg.

- We will arrange private transfers in a standard car for groups of 1-4 people, and in a van or minibus for groups of 5 or more. If you are traveling in a smaller group but prefer a more spacious vehicle, we recommend booking for 5 people.
