Ollantaytambo – Abra Málaga – Huamanmarca – Santa María

Ascent to Abra Malaga and downhill biking to Santa Maria Hot springs in Santa Teresa (C’cocalmayo) First night in Santa Teresa at Ecoquechua Lodge Clarification: Normally we leave from our base in Ollantaytambo, but if you are in Cusco or elsewhere we can pick you up without any inconvenience, just specify the exact location in advance to avoid inconveniences. The main transport will be waiting for you loaded with the bicycles and safety equipment to start the ascent to the mountain of Abra Malaga, which is located 1 hour from Ollantaytambo and is at an altitude of 4350 meters above sea level. Upon arrival at Abra Malaga Pass we will provide all the safety equipment and a talk of recommendations (very important) to start the descent to Santa Maria, stopping at strategic points to take pictures and enjoy the view or rest, if necessary, because it will be a long and exciting journey.

Arriving in Santa Maria we will change mobility to continue the second part of the trip to Santa Teresa where we will spend the night in a beautiful lodge called ECOQUECHUA LODGE, but before we will have the option to go to the hot springs of C’cocalmayo in Santa Teresa. It is a place that we recommend, because after a long day cycling and crossing different thermal floors, the body will be grateful. Afterwards we will return to the lodge where a delicious dinner prepared with local products awaits us and then we will go to rest to recover energy.

Day 2
Santa Teresa – Hidroeléctrica – Machu Picchu Town

Zip Line Santa Teresa in the morning (Optional, not included in the package). Hike from Hidroelectrica to Machu Picchu village with a duration of 2 to 3 hours depending on the pace of the group. If you do not wish to walk, you can take the train option, for an additional cost of $ 28 (USD). Waking up in the high jungle with the birds singing and the relaxing sound of the river is priceless, it is simply an unforgettable experience.

Machupicchu cusco
we offer a quieter option such as staying at the lodge and resting or walking around the surrounding coffee plantations. After having enjoyed a morning full of adrenaline or a great rest we will have lunch at our favorite restaurant in Hidroeléctrica, La cabaña de Gabriel. Then we will do some exercises and train our legs on a 2 to 3 hour hike from Hidroeléctrica to Machupicchu Pueblo, also known as Aguas Calientes, to be prepared and ready to climb Machu Picchu the next day.

The most awaited day to visit one of the wonders of the modern world: Machu Picchu arrives. This day we will wake up early to be able to make the entrance at the times indicated on the ticket and enjoy the day and the mountain of Machu Picchu.
