  Schloss Mirabell is known for the beautiful Marble Hall and the colourful garden decorated with fountains, statues and many flowers. Many musicians and famous movies have been performing here. Enjoy the "nice view" from the garden to the fortress. A great foto opportunity.

  From this bridge, you have one of the best views overlooking Salzburg. Find the Fortress Hohensalzburg crowning above the old town, the Mönchsberg forms natural protection for the homes and the river Salzach divides Salzburg into two sections.

  Stand at the beginning of the famous shopping street and find countless wrought-iron signs decorating the shops in this small street. You can find many souvenirs, shops and restaurants on this street. You even pass a Sound of Music shop with many souvenirs and movie photos.

  A long building along the Mönchsberg was adopted into the Festival Hall some years ago.100 years ago in 2020, it was the beginning of classical music events with top performers and high-quality concerts.   Fortress Hohensalzburg

  This fortress crowns high above the town and is hard to overlook. A beautiful view and foto opportunity. As we drive by, listen to the history of this unique site.

  Erzabtei Stift St. Peter Salzburg

  Passing the beautiful and long Festival Hall you will enter one of Europ's oldest Abbeys. St. Peter Church and the Abbey remind of the beginning days of Salzburg in the 7th century. Monks still live and work here playing an important role in daily life. Continue to walk through the beautiful cemetery of St. Peter. Many graves still belong to local families, detailed wrought iron crosses and fresh flowers decorate the graves. Find Catacombs, family crypts and several little chapels being part of the cemetery. Find stillness and admire the beauty of this place that feels more like a garden.

  Salzburg Cathedral

  The next section changes the architecture. Impressive buildings form several squares around the Salzburg Dom. The Dom itself builds the centre of this area. Have a look at the church. Discover different statues, different animals on the facade and unique frescos and more inside.

  Residenzplatz Market

  Stop at the biggest square Salzburg's and look at the Salzburger Glockenspiel. Every day it plays music 3 times, a sound that already will not be missed in town. The residence fountain in the middle of the square reflects the power and wealth from former days. The residence building offers another intertesting museum with treasures from centuries ago.

  I call this square - the square of fame. here you can find Mozart's residence, the birthplace of Christian Doppler, Regional Theatre, Marionette Theatre, Hotel Sacher, Hotel Bristol, the Trinity Church and the modern art Caldera right next to each other. And in every building lived or worked a famous person.

  Almost every day, you can enjoy watching the locals shop for fruits and vegetables at the farmers market. it is also a popular place to try one of the delicious sausages at the food stands. It is definitely a lively and fun place to visit.

  Walk through an alleyway into the shopping street Getreidegasse and find a bright yellow facade in front of you. Many visitors are trying to find a perfect spot for their photo, Everybody wants to see and remember where W.A.Mozart was born.
