    Your adventure begins at 4:00 a.m. with pickup at your accommodation in Cusco in safe and comfortable transportation.

    You will travel to Mollepata to enjoy breakfast before continuing on to Challacancha, the starting point of the trek, where you will meet the local team.

    The hike to Soraypampa (3,900 m/12,795 ft), where our Base Camp is located in panoramic domes, takes approximately three hours. You will follow a valley surrounded by glaciers and an ancient Inca water channel.

    Humantay Lake

    In the afternoon, you will hike to the impressive Humantay Lake (4,200 m/13,780 ft) to admire its Andean beauty.

    Soraypampa - Abra Salkantay - Huayracmachay - Chaullay - Collpapampa

    Today you will enjoy one of the best sunrises of your life, with the sun illuminating the imposing Salkantay mountain from your campsite. After an energetic breakfast, you will begin the most challenging section of the trek.

    Accompanied by our expert guides, you will advance through Salkantaypampa and Soyrococha until you conquer the Salkantay Pass (4,630 m/15,190 ft), after a 7 km hike in approximately three hours. At the top, you will be able to appreciate impressive glaciers and feel the energy of the Apus.

    Then you will descend to Huayracmachay (3,850 m/12,631 ft), where a delicious lunch and a short rest await you. The route continues into the cloud forest, full of Andean flora and fauna. If you keep your eyes peeled, you will be able to see wild orchids and hummingbirds in their natural habitat.

    After two hours of climbing through the Santa Teresa Valley, you will enjoy incredible views until you reach Llactapata

    Mirador de Llactapata

    Llactapata (2,700 m/8,858 ft), an archaeological site from which you can see Machu Picchu. Here you will learn about its history and Inca culture before continuing.

    Then we will descend for an hour and a half to Ahobamba, where we will have lunch. The route continues to Hidroeléctrica (1,800 m/5,906 ft), passing through sections with walls over 250 meters high.

    Once there, you will continue walking for approximately three hours to Aguas Calientes, following the train tracks through the jungle.
