    Then we will continue to the camp, where an emotional Andean wedding ceremony led by a high misayoc awaits you. You will experience authentic rituals surrounded by spectacular scenery with Mount Salkantay as a backdrop. After the ceremony, you will enjoy a delicious lunch and have time to rest. We will end the day with a special dinner and a peaceful night under a starry sky.

    Soraypampa - Abra Salkantay - Huayracmachay - Collpapampa

    We will wake up at 5:30 a.m. to enjoy breakfast with unique views of Mount Salkantay.

    Today you will conquer the highest point of the route: Abra Salkantay (4,630 m / 15,190 ft). This challenging ascent covers 7 km (4.34 miles) and takes approximately four hours. During the climb, you will enjoy spectacular landscapes with views of the valleys and the Apus Salkantay, Humantay, Tucarhuay, and Pumasillo. Once at the top, you will have time to connect with the energy of the Andes before beginning the descent.

    We will descend to Wayracmachay, where a hearty lunch and a viewpoint marking the transition from the Andean landscape to the cloud forest await you. We will then walk 9.5 km (5.9 miles) for three and a half hours to Collpapampa (2,950 m / 9,678 ft), where our exclusive Mountain Sky View camp

    During the hike, you will enjoy lush scenery with rivers, waterfalls, wild orchids, and coffee, banana, and avocado plantations. If you are lucky, you may see the cock-of-the-rock, Peru's national bird.

    Lucmabamba Coffee Experience

    Upon arrival at Zona Propiedad, a private vehicle will be waiting to take you to La Playa to visit an organic coffee farm and learn about the entire process, from harvesting to export-ready beans. After this enriching experience, we will continue on to Lucmabamba (2,000 meters above sea level / 6,562 feet) to enjoy a delicious lunch and settle into our exclusive Sacred Jungle Lodge camp in the middle of the rainforest.

    Mirador de Llactapata

    Then we begin a hike along an original section of the Inca Trail. The climb takes approximately three hours and offers spectacular views of the Santa Teresa Valley. We will arrive at the archaeological site of Llaqtapata, from where you can see Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu while your guide shares the history of this ancient civilization.

    Today you will start early to visit Machu Picchu without the crowds. After a light breakfast, you will board one of the first buses to the citadel.

    Once at the archaeological site, you will enjoy a guided tour of approximately two hours through the main temples, palaces, priestly enclosures, and terraces.
