We pickup all travelers from their hotels 30 minutes before departure time
We’ll collect you bright and early and drive you to the small town of Upis to begin the hike. You’ll walk for 3 hours to the lunch spot while you enjoy some beautiful scenery along the way, including the majestic Ausangate mountain. In the afternoon, you’ll have a short rest before continuing on an uphill climb to Arapa Pass. Then, we’ll descend to the camp, Hatun Pucacocha to indulge in hot drinks and dinner. Tonight, you’ll sleep at the foot of the mighty Ausangate mountain!
Start your day with a hot coca tea and a tasty breakfast before you begin today’s hike. You’ll head up to the Puca Pass for striking scenery and perhaps a glimpse of a condor flight. You’ll also get some fantastic photo opportunities of the glacial lagoons before arriving at Anantapata, the lunch spot. Next, you’ll hike up to the Warmisaya Pass to enjoy the 360 view including the first view of Rainbow Mountain, and surrounding peaks. It’ll then be time to descend to our camp in Surinecocha for dinner and some rest.
You’ll wake up early today to reach Rainbow Mountain before the other tourists arrive. You’ll stop along the first section to enjoy the first views of Vinicunca before you continue to the mountain itself. You’ll be able to spend plenty of time there as you learn all about the importance of the place and take in the astounding landscapes. You’ll then make your way down from the mountain to our private transport. Indulge in lunch before continuing on to your accommodation in Cusco. We’ll drop you off at the door for some well-deserved rest.
