The tour departs at 9:00 AM. On the way, we will visit the town of Carhuaz and Campo Santo – the “buried city” of Yungay. Afterwards, we will enter the Llanganuco Gorge and continue into Huascarán National Park. We will arrive at Chinancocha Lagoon around noon, where you will have approximately 1.5 hours for activities such as a boat ride or a short nature hike along the trails. Afterwards, we will begin the return journey, stopping in the town of Ucuchá for lunch. On the way back, we will also visit Taricá, a town of artisans, where you can observe traditional pottery and watch master craftsmen at work. The tour concludes with our return to Huaraz at approximately 7:00 PM.
Our departure will be around 8:30 AM, with an approximate 4-hour drive to reach Parón Lagoon. Along the way, we will pass through the provinces of Carhuaz, Yungay, and Huaylas. We are expected to arrive at Parón Lagoon between 12:00 and 12:30 PM, where you will have 2 hours to enjoy various activities such as a boat ride, canoeing, a hike to the viewpoint, or a nature trail walk. After the 2-hour visit, we will begin the return journey, which takes approximately 4 hours back to the city of Huaraz.
The tour departs at 5:30 AM heading north, passing through the towns of Carhuaz and Yungay. We will make a stop in the Huashao community for breakfast. Afterward, we will enter the gorge and continue into Huascarán National Park, arriving at Cebollapampa, the starting point of the trek. The hike will take approximately 3 hours to reach Laguna 69, with a 1-hour stop at the lagoon for activities. The return hike takes around 2 hours. We will then return to Huaraz, arriving at approximately 7:30 PM.
