This 24-minute immersive show drops you right into the heart of the debate and defiance that once filled this iconic space, where ordinary people set extraordinary change in motion. From the floorboards to the balconies, you will be surrounded by dynamic sound, lighting, and projected animations of fiery revolutionaries, determined citizens, and some unlikely troublemakers whose courage shook these walls. For visitors, locals, and adventurers of all ages, Ruckus! is a powerful way to begin exploring Boston’s pivotal role in shaping our nation—a fast-paced and unforgettable reminder that a little Ruckus! can change everything. Please arrive at Old South Meeting House 15-20 minutes ahead of your selected showtime. Late entry will only be permitted up to 5 minutes after the show's start time.   Old South Meeting House Historic Freedom Trail Site & Museum: Built in 1729, the Old South Meeting House was the largest building in colonial Boston and the site of the most stirring mass meetings that led to the Boston Tea Party and the American Revolution. Today, this historic site and museum—located just two blocks from the Old State House in the heart of downtown Boston—provides thought-provoking exhibits, compelling walking tours, exciting educational offerings, and engaging public programs. In July 2026, Ruckus!, a bold new immersive show about Boston's role in the American Revolution, will premiere at the Old South Meeting House.

  Old State House: Constructed in 1713, the Old State House was the center of royal government in the Massachusetts Bay colony and the focal point for many of the Revolution's most dramatic events, including the Boston Massacre. Today, this historic site and museum—located just two blocks from the Old South Meeting House in the heart of downtown Boston—provides thought-provoking exhibits, compelling walking tours, exciting educational offerings, and engaging public programs. In 2026, explore Road to Revolution: Massachusetts and the Independence Movement, a new exhibit curated with the Massachusetts Historical Society. This exhibition commemorates the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution by offering unique and personal perspectives on events leading to the Declaration of Independence.
