We depart for the adventure at 7am from your hotel in Cusco. We drive to the town of Limatambo and along the way we will stop at viewpoints to take photos of the amazing Andes, and Salkantay mountain. We then continue driving through beautiful mountain scenery. After one hour we arrive in Killarumiyoc where our guide will explain all of the Inca History of this charming place. We then continue on to the Valley of Limatambo, where the Tarawasi Inca site is located. After exploring this beautiful site, we will continue our tour driving uphill on the dirt road towards to the community of Chonta. Upon arrival we hike 1 ½ hours (moderate difficulty) reaching the lookout of Hahuacco, which boasts great views of the Apurimac canyon and Vilcabamaba mountain range. With a little bit of luck we will enjoy our Condor sighting activity; it is common to see the majestic condors soaring in their natural habitat and flying over the Chonta canyon. In the afternoon we walk back down to Chonta for 1 ½ hours then drive back to Cusco. Pick up time is between 2:15am and 2:45am, please be waiting in your hotel lobby at 2:15am and keep a lookout for the van. You may want to bring a pillow and blanket to get some extra sleep during the van ride (these can be left in the van while you hike). If you are prone to motion sickness we also recommend taking something to help with this.
