Travel along the "Route of the Sun" from Cusco to Puno. Enjoy nice scenery and visit historical sites on the way.
Depart from Cusco and start the journey by visiting the church of "San Pedro de Andahuaylillas" and seeing its golden decoration and colonial canvas inside. Continue the trip heading to "Raqchi."  This archaeological site is considered a small Inca city that holds the temple of "Viracocha."  Continue the trip to the highest point on the route called "La Raya."  Take nice pictures of the andes and the geography around. Finally, our bus will stop at the Pucara Lithic Museum, where you will see sculptures carved on the rock; they represent the local flora and fauna of Lake Titicaca. Arrive in Puno by 17:00.

    Enjoy a guided visit to Raqchi, an Inca construction built during the 15th century that was used as a temple for Inca rituals and also a place to home soldiers and pilgrims during their festivities.

    La Raya Pass

    The political border between Cusco and Puno is also a natural geographical border between the Andean valleys and the big South American plateau, and it is also the highest point on the route. It is very interesting to notice that you will see two very different ecological floors on the trip.
