One of the few mountains in the Cordillera Blanca that you can climb in just 2 days, Vallunaraju (5,686m) is a fantastic peak. And, on this trip, you will get to climb right to the summit of this trip.

Our trip will begin in the lovely mountain town of Huaraz. From there, we will travel to the beautiful Quebrada Llaca (4,200m). Afterwards, we will go to the Vallunaraju Base Camp, where we will spend the night. On the following day, we will climb to the summit of the peak. From the summit, you can enjoy some magnificent views of other nearby peaks. After you’ve soaked in the great views, we will then return to base camp and then the Quebrada Llaca and then Huaraz.

    Day 1

    1st day. - Huaraz – Quebrada de Llanca (4200m) – Campo Morrena (5000m).

    -We will leave Huaráz in private transportation to the base camp that is located in the Llaca ravine. -The camp is set up next to the shelter of the House of Guides. Being in this place, we can do some rock and ice climbing practices because There are walls equipped to do these activities. -Option: you can also climb this day to Campo Morreno de Vallunaraju and this way the ascent would be easier on the second day.

  • Day 2

    2rd day. - Campo Morrena (5000m) – Vallunaraju Summit (5686m) – Q. Llanca – Huaraz.

    You leave very early (3 – 4 am) towards the summit, you have to return about 180 meters of the trail that comes from Huaráz. Then you go up to the right along a marked path, after 2 hours of walking we arrive at the base of the glacier, you go up a slope of 35-40º, short, then you reach and follow the glacier on gentle slopes until we pass along the left side of Vallunaraju Sur.

    Ee reach the col that joins both summits, we take the path on the left with a slope of 40º reaching the summit, where we appreciate an impressive view of the Callejón de Huaylas, the return is along the same route, to the camp, where the mobility of the company picks us up that takes us to Huaráz hostel.
