This full-day excursion to Laguna Humantay from Cusco is an excellent choice for travelers who want to discover one of the most stunning natural landscapes in the Andes. The tour begins in Soraypampa and continues along a path of approximately 4.3 kilometers (2.7 miles) until it reaches the Humantay Lagoon. During the tour, a professional guide will accompany the group and point out the best places to appreciate the landscape and take pictures. You can also see the imposing Nevado Salkantay, one of the most outstanding mountains of the Cusco region, as well as know the local flora and fauna and learn about the Andean Mountains and their importance for Andean communities.

You will be picked up from the hotel between 4:45 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. so we start the tour to the Humantay Lagoon, and then make a 2 hour trip through beautiful landscapes where we can appreciate in the middle of the route to the imposing Nevado de Salkantay and the Limatambo Valley, then we will arrive to Mollepata located at 2900 m.a.s.l. small town where we will have a delicious breakfast and then continue our route for about 45 minutes by road until we reach Soraypampa (3900 m.a.s.l.),

2Humantay Lake
will then be an hour and a half to two hours on the way up to approximately the beautiful Humantay Lagoon (4200 m.a.s.l.), located in the snowy slopes of the same name, upon arrival we will have between 40 minutes to an hour to enjoy the tranquility and peace of this place and take our photographs, After having been enriched with such a nice experience we will start descending again to Soraypampa (an hour of descent approx.)

3Mollepata
Then for our mobility to return us to Mollepata where a delicious lunch will be waiting for you. Afterwards we will return to Cusco (17:30 to 18:00), the Transport will drop you off one street from the Plaza de Armas because of congestion issues during this time.
