We will begin our tour by meeting the group in the Plaza de Armas. Our guide will provide you with information about the tour itinerary, then we will walk two blocks to Saphy Street with Tambo de Montero where our bus will be waiting for us to begin our wonderful tour and an unforgettable experience. We will begin in the Historic Center for about 40 minutes, visiting representative and historical places of our city such as San Francisco Square, where the Franciscan Church and Convent is located, being one of the oldest religious orders in the city, the Santa Clara Arch an important symbol of the Peru Bolivia Confederation, Garcilaso Street, where the building of the great chronicler Garcilaso de la Vega is located and Regocijo Square. The tour continues along Avenida El Sol, the most important avenue in the city center.
Afterwards, we will ascend to the Sacsayhuamán and Puca Pucara archaeological sites, the highest point of our tour. There, we will make a short stop for photos from the bus whith panoramic views and our guide to provide information. Next, we will head towards the Huayllarcocha Community where we will participate in the coca leaf ritual (15 to 20 minutes), with an Andean priest.
On the return trip, we'll pass near the Qenqo archaeological site and then head to the Cristo Blanco viewpoint (10-15 minutes), where you can appreciate the city of Cusco in all its splendor and enjoy panoramic views. Finally, we'll visit a factory for an exhibition showcasing the different qualities of alpaca and vicuña wool, where they will demonstrate the crafts made from these materials (10-15 minutes). This will allow you to experience the true quality of alpaca fiber, considered one of the best wools in the world, and vicuña, considered the finest animal fiber globally. At the end of the tour, the bus will drop off passengers on Saphy Street, two blocks from the Plaza de Armas.
