Our team will contact you. They will be easy to recognize as they will be wearing the company uniform. We will also contact you the day before the trip to make sure everything is in order.
The trip starts with the pick up from your hotel around 4:00 am, then the transportation will take you to Ollantaytambo trip that lasts approximately 2 hours. At this point you will board the train of your choice (expeditions train, vistadome train, vistadome observatory train or 360° train) taking a trip through the sacred valley until you reach the town of Machu Picchu called Aguas Calientes. At the train terminal in Aguas Calientes our transfer will be waiting for you to assist you and help you with the reservation of a ticket to buy the entrance to Machu Picchu. After this process our transfer will accompany you to the hotel so you can settle in and get some rest because you will have to return to buy the entrance ticket to Machu Picchu that you booked previously. You will also return to the hotel to spend the night.
Arriving at Machu Picchu’s main gate from Aguas Calientes can be done in two ways: a scenic 1.5-hour hike or a convenient bus ride for about $12 one way. You can decide on the same day. Your day starts early, around 4:00 a.m., with breakfast at your hotel. If you choose to hike, begin around 4:30 a.m. with a 30-minute walk from your hotel to the “Puente Ruinas” checkpoint, where you must show your Machu Picchu tickets and original passport. After the checkpoint, the ascent begins—approximately 1,700 stone steps leading uphill. The climb usually takes between 1 and 1.5 hours. Once you reach the main gate, you’ll meet your guide and group to enter the citadel and begin your unforgettable exploration of Machu Picchu, one of the world’s most iconic archaeological wonders.
