After departing from Cusco, we will head towards Cusipata, traveling through scenic Andean landscapes. Continue toward the peaceful town of Layo, overlooking the spectacular Langui Lagoon, located at approximately 4,200 meters (13,780 ft) above sea level. This brief stop offers incredible panoramic views and perfect photo opportunities before arriving at the hiking trail.

Arrive at the trailhead and begin your guided hike to Pallay Punchu Mountain, rising to approximately 4,700 meters (15,420 ft) above sea level. Known as the ultimate Rainbow Mountain alternative south of Cusco, Pallay Punchu features dramatic poncho-shaped ridges painted in vibrant natural mineral colors. Unlike the crowded Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain, this experience offers a quieter and more exclusive high-altitude adventure. The uphill hike takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace and acclimatization level.
