  Travelers visit the Eagle’s Nest (Kehlsteinhaus), a historic mountain retreat on Mount Kehlstein at an elevation of 1,834 meters (6,017 feet) above sea level. Built during World War II and associated with Adolf Hitler, the site is today a famous viewpoint and visitor attraction. All visitors gather at a designated meeting area in Obersalzberg, as private vehicles are not allowed beyond this point. From there, special mountain buses carrying around 40 passengers travel along a steep alpine road to the summit. The visit is self guided, with audio guides available in multiple languages providing historical information. The Eagle’s Nest is renowned for its dramatic panoramic views across the Bavarian and Austrian Alps. At the top, visitors can enjoy the mountain restaurant and café located beside the historic building, offering food, drinks, and unforgettable scenery.

  Travelers visit the Documentation Center Obersalzberg, a historical site that explains the history of the Obersalzberg area during World War II. There is also time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or café overlooking the lake (meal not included), allowing travelers to relax and experience the village atmosphere at their own pace. Please note that the Hallstatt Salt Mine is not included, as visiting the mine requires a long amount of time and physical effort, which could limit relaxed exploration and cause unnecessary fatigue.
