    Day 1

    Cusco - Cloud Forest - Pilcopata

    Manu National Park

    We leave Cusco very early in the morning in our comfortable minivan. We ascend to the upper area of Paucartambo. On the way we visited the funerary towers or Chullpas of Ninamarca. We then descend through the mysterious cloud forest, full of beautiful orchids, heliconias and primitive ferns. We stop to give you the opportunity to witness the cock-of-the-rock (Rupicola peruviana) in the mating ritual. There are also chances to see trogons (Trogon sp.) and much more. If we are lucky we will find the only bear in South America, the spectacled bear (Tremarctos ornatus). In the afternoon we will arrive at the town of Pilcopata, where we will spend the first night in a hostel with private bathrooms and showers.

    They will have a brief stop to visit the Ninamarca chullpas or pre-Inca tombs of the Lupaca Culture and then continue to Paucartambo, appreciate its plaza, market and museum.

  • Day 2

    Pilcopata - Atalaya - Paititi Hostel

    Manu National Park

    After breakfast we will walk to explore the jungle and along the way we will visit tropical products of the jungle such as the coca plantation, fruits and varieties of birds, plants and monkeys in this way we will be able to experience wildlife. Arriving then at the port of Atalaya, where we will take a boat and navigate the upper Madre de Dios River. On the way we will stop and walk along a trail and we will have the opportunity to take a bath in the hot springs in the area, and then continue sailing towards our lodge. After lunch, we will go exploring the jungle and rafting on Lake Machuhuasi. This area is full of life and we can observe species such as: shanshos, monkeys, reptiles, dwarf caimans, capybaras and tapirs. If luck is with us it will be possible to see many of them. In the evening we will do an interesting night walk to crown the day. Finally we will spend the night in our Paititi Hostel with private bathrooms and showers.

    Visit to Machuwasi Lake on floating rafts to appreciate the biodiversity of flora and fauna, different species of monkeys, caoibara, the largest rodent in the world (hydrochaeris hydrochaeris), alligators, and diversity of birds such as the prehistoric bird (shansho), herons, cormorants. , and with a lot of luck we could see the jaguar, tapir (tapirus terrestris)

    Parrot Clay Clay

    Very early in the morning, we will begin sailing for about 25 minutes to the parrot clay lick (clay wall with minerals), where we can observe several species of parrots. After that visit we will have breakfast. The rest of the morning we will spend walking in the forest, we will be able to see a great variety of birds, monkeys or dwarf alligators. Then we will return to our lodge for lunch and rest. In the afternoon and evening we will walk trails to spot wildlife full of insects, frogs, spiders, etc. Overnight at the Paititi Hostel.

    We return EN boat from the Paititi hostel to Atalaya, where the minivan will be waiting for us to return to Cusco, passing POR the forest DE clouds again. Arriving in Cusco at 6:00 DE Dordor, leaving behind the lush jungle and the Andean landscapes.
