We begin our journey early in the morning from the historic city of Cusco. It set the stage for an unforgettable exploration.
Our first charming destination will be Chincheros, a combination of European culture and the Incas; Then we will visit the majestic ruins of Moray, and then head to the salt mines of Maras, a town full of colors and aromas, offering an immersive experience in Andean culture and crafts in the midst of the bustling stalls. Next we head to the Urubamba Valley to enjoy an Andean buffet lunch. As the last point of visit, we will arrive at the majestic ruins of Ollantaytambo and then take the tourist train that will take us to the town of Aguas Calientes and rest in our accommodation.
While in Aguas Calientes, make sure to relax in the natural hot springs, where the soothing thermal waters provide a perfect respite after a day of exploration, and indulge in the diverse flavors of local cuisine, from hearty Peruvian classics to delicacies showcasing the region's culinary heritage, ensuring a truly immersive and memorable experience.
After breakfast at the hotel, we made our way to the bus station to journey towards the entrance to the magnificent Machu Picchu.
Arriving with the first light, the ethereal beauty of Machu Picchu captivates, as expert guidance leads us through its storied history and architectural marvels, leaving an unforgettable imprint of ancient wonder.
After our guided exploration of Machu Picchu, we'll head back to Aguas Calientes. There, you'll have some free time to wander the town and perhaps pick up a few mementos of your journey
In the afternoon, we journey back to Aguas Calientes for our return train ride to Ollantaytambo.
Lastly, we'll take a bus back to Cusco, where our journey began, reminiscing on the past two days filled with memories of magnificent landscapes, ancient ruins, and the enduring legacy of the Inca civilization that we carry with us.
