Experience an easy way to get adapted to the altitude in Cusco Hiking with Llamas and alpacas with a pleasant activity around the mountains of Cusco. This hike takes place on ancient inca trails that we still have around, those trails will lead us to some ancient inca temples that are hidden in the small valleys, also those ancient inca trails are still used by the local people and we easily can meet locals herding their llamas, alpacas ans sheeps, this hike is not demanding.

Inkilltambo Trail Rumiwasi Ruins – It is one of the trails on the outskirts of the city of Cusco, where we can still find intact Inca roads. You will find archaeological ruins and sacred Inca temples with a unique peculiarity in each of them on this trip. Inkilltambo Trail Rumiwasi Ruins is recommended for families for a beautiful picnic hike in the Andes for explorers of enigmatic sites.

According to the morphological characteristics of this place and the writings of some chroniclers about this piece of art, it dates back to the Imperial Inca period (1438-1532 AD), built and carved on a rock, in the interior and also outside (upper-part) ceremonies or rituals were dedicated mainly to the Moon (You can see on the image below the moon-figure carved on the rock) and other deities such as the Pachamama (Mohter earth)

It is an ancient inka temple that was used probably by some tribes from the jungle, at this small temple we can see carved on the rock some monkeys and a specail rock carved on shape of a human heart , this is a place right next to an inca trail that will lead us to the Cusco city to finish our hike .
