Crossing the river, we will begin the ascent to Santa Rosa, which will last approximately two hours. This part of the hike requires significant physical effort, as we will be climbing while we have some shade.
Upon arrival in Santa Rosa, we will take a short break before continuing to climb for another two hours to reach Marampata, where we have a well-deserved lunch. We will have the afternoon free to relax after ascending 1,500 meters, quite a challenge! Here we will explore Marampata and learn about agriculture and the traditional Quechua lifestyle. In the evening, we will enjoy a comforting dinner and then rest in cabins at 2,970 meters altitude. We will have cold showers and shared bathrooms.

We will spend the day exploring its highlights: the flame terraces, the central square (3,068 m), the Hanan sector (3,136 m), and much more. We will also see some unexcavated remains still covered by vegetation. Here we will enjoy a country lunch with a 360o view that mixes culture and nature.
After exploring the remarkable ruins of Choquequirao, we will begin our journey back along a rocky path with some challenging slopes towards Marampata, where the mountainous terrain offers us panoramic views once again.
From Marampata, we will descend along a similarly rocky path, with a steep slope, towards Santa Rosa, where lush nature and tranquility reward us after the day’s effort. Here we will enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night in cabins with double beds. We will have cold showers and shared bathrooms.

We will rest here to enjoy the views of the river, then begin the ascent, passing once again through the hamlets of Chiquisca and Cocamasana, where shade and refreshing drinks will provide a relief from the heat of the day as we head towards Capuliyoc.
Along the way, we will appreciate the beauty of the forests at different altitudes, accompanied by immense views of the mountains, gradually reaching the viewpoint of Capuliyoc. Here, we will have a broad perspective of the entire route we have travelled over the last four days, a memory etched in our minds, with spirits full and bodies exhausted, but deeply rewarded by the experiences of the journey.
