Paucartambo
In Paucartambo, we’ll enjoy a breakfast featuring traditional Andean flavors, providing the perfect start to our journey. Afterward, we’ll continue our drive to the Acjanaco Mountain, a spectacular viewpoint known for the Tres Cruces sunrise. From this vantage point, you’ll catch your first breathtaking glimpse of the Amazon as we enter the buffer zone of Manu National Park . As we descend into the cloud forest, we’ll have the opportunity to spot Peru’s national bird, the vibrant cock-of-the-rock. Our expert guide will lead the way, helping you discover other bird species and perhaps even a few monkeys along the route.

By midday, we’ll reach Atalaya. Here, we’ll pause for lunch before venturing deeper into the Peruvian Amazon rainforest. Then we'll continue to Palotoa for about an hour. Around 5:00 pm, we’ll arrive at the TREEHOUSE INN, where you’ll have time to settle in and unwind. After a hearty dinner, we’ll embark on a thrilling night walk, where, if luck is on our side, we may encounter tarantulas, frogs, and caimans as we explore the wonders of the nocturnal jungle.

Day 2
Exploring Manu Park

Our Manu Amazon journey kicks off with an early start, followed by breakfast on the road. We'll spend the next four hours traveling, with a stop at a control point to gain access to the Reserved Zone of Manu National Park. As we continue our journey, we'll spot wildlife, with our expert guide on hand to identify and point out the animals, ensuring you don’t miss any of the fascinating sights. Our day includes a special stop at Cocha Otorongo, an oxbow lake featuring an observation tower. From this vantage point, you might see caimans and the distinctive prehistoric Hoatzin bird. By mid-afternoon, we'll arrive at CASA MATSIGUENKA, our lodge for the night. Here, you'll have the opportunity to settle in and prepare for more exciting explorations in the Manu Amazon.

Day 3
Salvador Lake and the Secrets of the Jungle Adventure

On this day of our Manu National Park Peru Tours, we begin bright and early with a visit to Salvador Lake, which is home to river otters and caimans, and we’ll be on the lookout for these fascinating animals. Then we’ll return to CASA MATSIGUENKA for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll embark on a search for monkeys while learning about the medicinal plants of the area. Following our exploration, we'll head back to the lodge for dinner. After the meal, we’ll set out for another night walk, giving us the chance to spot nocturnal creatures in the vibrant Amazon jungle.

In the afternoon, we’ll embark on an exciting search for monkeys, while also learning about the local medicinal plants from our knowledgeable guide. Once we return to the lodge, you’ll have some time to relax before dinner. After enjoying a hearty meal, we’ll head out for a night walk through the jungle. This final nocturnal adventure provides a chance to observe the diverse and intriguing wildlife of the Amazon after dark.

Day 4
Jaguar Spotting

Today’s adventure begins with an early morning excursion to spot jaguars along the riverbanks. Finding a jaguar in the Manu Amazon is a rare and rewarding challenge, so a bit of luck and keen observation will be essential. During this four-hour activity, you’ll also have the opportunity to see a variety of other wildlife, such as tapirs, turtles, and caimans. Following our jaguar search, we’ll revisit the control point of Manu National Park to exit the reserved zone and re-enter the buffer zone. Our journey will then continue back to the TREEHOUSE INN. We’re expected to arrive at the lodge before dinner. After a delicious meal, we’ll set out for another night walk around a private reserve. This final nocturnal adventure offers the chance to encounter bats, snakes, and other fascinating creatures of the night, adding a thrilling conclusion to our day.

Day 5
Parrot Clay Licks and Manu Expedition

Our Manu Jungle tours from Cusco always feature a visit to the parrot clay licks, a must-see natural phenomenon just a 20-minute walk away. We’ll start early in the morning, aiming to arrive before sunrise to witness this vibrant spectacle. Afterwards, we’ll return to the lodge for breakfast. Following the meal, our guide will lead us on a three-hour walk through the jungle, where we’ll have the chance to spot a variety of flora and fauna, including numerous bird species. After returning to the lodge and having dinner, we’ll embark on our final night walk in the Manu Amazon. This nocturnal exploration provides an opportunity to spot creatures such as poisonous frogs and other fascinating wildlife.

Day 6
Return to Cusco

After enjoying breakfast at the lodge. We’ll return to Atalaya. This leisurely journey offers another opportunity to take in the surrounding nature and wildlife.

Upon reaching Atalaya, we’ll transition to a drive back to Cusco. This scenic drive will take us through the cloud forest once more, providing beautiful views of the lush landscapes we’ve explored.
