Day 1
Cusco to Manu National Park

Our Manu National Park tours from Cusco start well before sunrise. Our journey takes us to the charming town of Paucartambo, where we'll enjoy a delightful breakfast featuring Andean products.

Paucartambo
After our meal, we'll continue our journey to Acjanaco mountain. At Acjanaco, we’ll be treated to a breathtaking view of the Amazon rainforest below—a stunning introduction to the jungle. This viewpoint marks the highest point of our Amazon adventure before we begin our descent into the Manu Rainforest. Our next stop includes an exciting excursion to observe the Cock-of-the-Rock. Our guide will lead us to known nesting sites, providing numerous opportunities to witness the local flora and fauna.

By midday, we’ll reach Atalaya, where we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch. Our journey will conclude at the Treehouse Inn, where we’re expected to arrive around 5:00 pm. You’ll have time to settle into your lodge and prepare for the days ahead.

Day 2
Cocha Otorongo visit

On this day, our Amazon Tours in Manu begins. We'll rise early and enjoy a boxbreakfast. We'll embark on a journey that spans a few hours, during which we'll have the opportunity to observe a diverse array of bird species and other wildlife. To continue our Manu Rainforest Tours, we need to cross an official control point to enter the Reserved Zone. After crossing the control point, we'll have lunch. Then, we'll arrive at Cocha Otorongo, a famous oxbow lake that is home to various Amazonian animals. We'll climb the observation tower here to better observe the lake's inhabitants. At the end of the day, we'll reach Casa Matsiguenka, a lodge in Manu Park, where we'll spend the night.

Day 3
Salvador Lake and Manu Reserved Zone

For today's Manu Rainforest tours, we'll start with a visit to Salvador Lake after breakfast. This picturesque oxbow lake is home to a variety of wildlife, including monkeys, caimans, and river otters. After our lake visit, we'll return to Casa Matsiguenka for a traditional lunch. In the afternoon, we'll embark on a guided exploration of the reserved zone on foot. This jungle trek will take us through the richly biodiverse areas of Manu National Park. Along the way, our knowledgeable guide will provide fascinating insights into the medicinal plants of the region. We'll enjoy dinner back at the lodge. Following our meal, we'll embark on a night walk to discover the nocturnal creatures of the rainforest, adding an adventurous conclusion to our day.

Day 4
Jaguar spotting and Night walk

Today’s Manu rainforest tour will start with an exciting search for the largest predator in the region: the jaguar. We'll embark on a 4-hour expedition dedicated to jaguar spotting, during which we'll also have the chance to see tapirs, turtles, and caimans. Upon arriving at Treehouse Inn, we'll enjoy a delicious dinner. Afterward, we'll embark on a night walk around a private reserve, where we may encounter tarantulas, snakes, and other nocturnal wildlife, adding an adventurous conclusion to our day.

Day 5
Private reserve exploration and Howler Monkey spotting

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll starting with a visit to a private reserve zone. This area is teeming with wildlife, and we’ll have the chance to see sloths, deer, monkeys, and a variety of bird species. Our knowledgeable guide will provide insights into the medicinal plants native to the region. We’ll return to Treehouse Inn for a delicious lunch, followed by some downtime to rest and escape the midday heat. In the afternoon, we’ll head out for an exciting Howler monkey spotting adventure . As evening falls, we’ll conclude our day with a night walk, seeking out more elusive nocturnal creatures of the rainforest.

Day 6
Parrot Clay Lick and Caiman Lake

Our Amazon Tours Manu offer an extraordinary experience with one of nature's most remarkable sights. We'll start with a 20-minute walk to the parrot clay licks, where you'll witness hundreds of vibrant birds feasting on clay from a natural cliff. Upon returning to the lodge, you'll enjoy a hearty breakfast and some time to relax. Afterward, we'll embark on a hike through a private reserve. This trek includes a climb up a small mountain, providing stunning panoramic views of Manu Park, Peru. Following the hike, we'll head back to the lodge for a special lunch prepared by our chef. Our day will conclude with a visit to Caiman Lake in the late afternoon, where we'll search for caimans and explore another beautiful oxbow lake.

Rerturn to Cusco

After our final breakfast on the Manu National Park tours from Cusco, we'll begin our journey back to Cusco. We'll make our way back to Atalaya, taking in the last glimpses of the vibrant rainforest. This will mark the end of our incredible Manu rainforest exploration.
