Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Cusco. As the city slowly wakes up, you'll embark on a scenic 2.5-hour drive to the quaint town of Tinki. Here, we'll pause for a nourishing breakfast, providing the energy needed for the day ahead.
From Tinki, the journey continues on foot, as you set off on a four-hour trek that winds through awe-inspiring Andean landscapes. Marvel at the towering peaks, sprawling valleys, and the vibrant colors of nature as you make your way deeper into the heart of the mountains.
Around midday, we'll stop at a serene location for a well-deserved break. As you rest and refuel with a delicious lunch, take a moment to soak in your surroundings—a perfect blend of tranquility and beauty. Once recharged, a two-hour hike awaits, leading us towards the remote village of Upis.
Upon reaching Upis, you'll be greeted by the soothing allure of natural thermal springs, nestled amidst the rugged Andean terrain. Slip into the warm, mineral-rich waters and feel the tension in your muscles melt away. This therapeutic soak is the ideal way to reward yourself after a day of trekking.
As the day draws to a close, we'll gather for a delightful happy hour, followed by a hearty dinner at our campsite. With the stars twinkling overhead, you'll fall asleep to the gentle sounds of nature, ready for more adventures to come.
The day begins with a gentle awakening to the warmth of a traditional coca tea, energizing you for the adventure ahead. After a nourishing breakfast, we'll lace up our boots and embark on a challenging but rewarding journey. The trail leads us on a steady three-hour ascent to the formidable Condor Pass, where the mountain air is crisp, and the panoramic views are nothing short of spectacular. From this vantage point, the towering Ausangate peak stands in all its majesty, offering a moment of awe and inspiration
Having conquered the Condor Pass, we’ll begin our descent. Over the next two hours, we’ll make our way down towards the serene Lake Pucaccocha, our campsite for the night. As we descend, take in the changing landscapes, from rugged highlands to the tranquil shores of the lake, where the reflection of the surrounding peaks dances upon the water’s surface. Upon arrival at the campsite, a peaceful evening awaits. This secluded spot provides the perfect setting to unwind after a day of trekking. As the sun sets, we’ll gather for a well-deserved happy hour, sharing stories of the day’s adventures. A hearty dinner follows, enjoyed under the vast Andean sky, with the surrounding mountains providing a natural backdrop that enhances the serenity of the moment. The calm of the night invites you to rest deeply, preparing for the next chapter of your journey.

After a serene lunch in Chillca Valley, we continue with a two-hour trek to Vicuña Pass, followed by a one-hour descent to our Yanaccocha campsite. We’ll wrap up the day with happy hour and dinner, reflecting on the day’s journey in the peaceful mountain surroundings.
Our final day begins with a warm cup of coca tea and a nourishing breakfast as we prepare for the last leg of our journey. Energized and eager, we set off on a 1.5-hour trek toward the world-renowned Rainbow Mountain. As we approach, the breathtaking sight of its vibrant, multi-colored layers unfolds before us—a natural wonder that has captivated travelers from around the globe. Here, we will spend an hour marveling at the sweeping vistas and vibrant hues, capturing the essence of this iconic Andean landmark.
After soaking in the surreal beauty of Rainbow Mountain, we’ll take a short 30-minute walk to the equally stunning Red Valley. This lesser-known gem offers a peaceful contrast with its striking red earth, creating a landscape that feels otherworldly. The quiet serenity of this valley provides a perfect final moment of reflection on your trek.
From the Red Valley, we begin our descent and retrace our steps through the dramatic Andean landscapes. The journey back is filled with a sense of accomplishment and awe, as we carry the unforgettable memories of the Ausangate Trek.
Finally, we’ll meet our transport that will take us back to Cusco, where modern comforts await after days spent immersed in nature's grandeur.
