The adventure begins early! Since the journey to Humantay Lake is a bit long, we’ll pick you up directly from your hotel or accommodation between 4:00 and 4:30 AM. This way, you’ll be among the first to arrive and can enjoy this magical place before the crowds.

2Mollepata
After the pick-up, our driver will take us to the charming district of Mollepata, a small Andean village transformed by tourism. Locals warmly welcome visitors with cozy restaurants and lodges, making it a perfect stop to enjoy a light breakfast and recharge before starting the hike.

From Mollepata, we’ll continue our journey to Soraypampa, where our minivan drops us off and the real adventure begins. Your guide will share essential instructions and tips to ensure a smooth and enjoyable trek. From this point, nature takes center stage as the breathtaking landscapes of the Andes Mountains surround you, with the majestic Salkantay towering on the right and the Humantay Snow Peak on the left.

4Humantay Lake
The hike to Humantay Lake takes approximately 2 hours, depending on your fitness level. For those who prefer not to walk, local community members offer horse rentals for an additional cost—an excellent option if needed. Upon reaching this breathtaking turquoise lagoon, nestled at the base of the Humantay Snow Peak, we’ll spend about 40 minutes exploring the area. Capture stunning photos of the vibrant waters, relax, and immerse yourself in the beauty of this unique Andean wonder. Your guide will also share fascinating insights into the cultural and spiritual significance of the lake for the local community. After enjoying the views, we’ll descend to Soraypampa, where our driver will be waiting to take us to Mollepata for a well-deserved buffet lunch—just what you’ll need after a rewarding hike! Once refueled, we’ll return to Cusco, arriving around 5:00 PM.

5Cusco
After enjoying the views, we’ll descend back to Soraypampa, where our driver will be ready to take us to Mollepata for a delicious buffet lunch—just what you’ll need after a rewarding hike! Once refueled, we’ll return to Cusco, arriving around 5:00 PM. Please note: Drop-off will be three blocks away from the Plaza de Armas due to local mobility regulations set by the municipality. This marks the end of our unforgettable full-day adventure to one of Cusco’s most iconic natural wonders—Humantay Lake.
