Dive into an unforgettable two-day adventure through the stunning Andes with this Ausangate trekking itinerary. Begin your journey in Cusco and travel to the tranquil community of Pacchanta, renowned for its thermal springs and breathtaking views of Ausangate Mountain. From there, hike through scenic trails that lead to the mesmerizing 7 Lagoons of Ausangate, each with its own unique charm and surrounded by towering peaks. Spend the night at a remote campsite, where the clear night sky will leave you in awe.
For your convenience, we will pick you up from your accommodation 30 minutes before the tour starts. Please be ready and waiting at the reception or the designated meeting point to ensure a timely departure.

We will pick you up from your accommodation at 5:00 am in our private vehicle to start the adventure to the charming village of Pacchanta, located in the heart of the majestic Ausangate mountains. During the three-hour journey, you’ll enjoy stunning panoramic views. Upon arrival in Pacchanta, you’ll meet our trekking team, including cooks and muleteers. Our high-altitude chef will prepare a delicious breakfast before we begin the hike. We will start with a gradual ascent through landscapes where you’ll witness panoramic views of imposing snow-capped peaks and deep valleys. As we progress along the trail, we’ll head towards the Seven Lagoons of Ausangate, a challenging but highly rewarding trek. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to interact with local communities. We’ll stop for lunch at a midpoint along the route.
After enjoying another delicious and energizing breakfast, we’ll begin our ascent of 1.5 hours to the Ninaparayoq Pass, where you can marvel at the impressive views of the snow-capped mountains. Don’t forget to keep your camera ready to capture these unique landscapes. We will then descend for approximately one hour and join the traditional Seven Lagoons of Ausangate route. We’ll pass by lagoons such as Alqaqocha and Qomerqocha, whose blue and turquoise waters lie at the base of the mysterious Qayangate Glacier. After replenishing our energy with lunch, we’ll continue towards Pacchanta, the final point of our hike. During the journey, you can enjoy the relaxing experience of thermal baths (optional) and have the opportunity to purchase local crafts. After bidding farewell to our support team, we’ll board our private transport for a 3-hour drive back to Cusco, where we’ll drop you off at your hotel. We expect to arrive around 5:00 pm.
