Montaña de Colores, also known as Vinicunca or Rainbow Mountain, is a stunning natural landscape in the Peruvian Andes, famous for its layers of vibrant colors, created by minerals and sediments. A unique destination that offers spectacular views and an unforgettable experience.
Maximum elevation: approx. 5,200 m above sea level.
Distance: approx. 3–4 km round trip.
Elevation gain: approx. 400–500 m, depending on the starting point.
Terrain: mountain trail with steep slopes, rocks, mud, ice, or snow.
Recommended: hiking boots, warm, layered clothing, a raincoat, gloves, a hat, sunscreen, and water.
Due to the altitude, it is recommended that you acclimate to Cusco beforehand.

Meeting and pickup
Our guide will identify himself or herself with company identification and/or a uniform.
The driver or guide will state the company name and the name of the passenger or group at the time of pickup.
Itinerary

1Cusipata
Starts with the pick up from the hotels located near the historic center of Cusco, between 4:00 - 5:00 a.m., we will travel approximately 2 hours south of Cusco. The town of Cusipata will be our first stop where you will have a delicious breakfast and time to use the restrooms. Trekking. Then we will continue along the road to the parking lot for about 45 minutes until we reach the base, from where we will start the hike, our guide will give us the necessary instructions to enjoy the tour.

2Rainbow Mountain Peru
Afterwards we will have a walk of approximately 2 hours to reach the 7 Colors Mountain, upon arrival we will have the explanation of the guide, enough time to take pictures and tour much of the place.

3Rainbow Mountain Peru
Continuing with the tour, we will walk through the Red Valley for approximately 30 min. (Optional: if the passenger wishes, he/she can go on his/her own to a viewpoint that has a spectacular view of a chain of colorful mountains).

4Cusco
After the guided tour we will return to the vehicle, then we will return to our first stop in Cusipata where we will have a buffet lunch and then we will return to the city of Cusco (approximate time of arrival 17:30 p.m.).
