    Airport pickup – Cusco city tour

    Upon arrival at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our staff and transferred to your hotel. The morning is free to rest, acclimate to Cusco’s altitude (3,399 m), and enjoy the hotel facilities. Around 12:50 p.m., you’ll meet the group to begin the Cusco City Tour in the historic center, starting with a visit to Qoricancha, the Inca Temple of the Sun.

    Sacsayhuaman

    Afterward, you’ll travel by tourist transport to the archaeological sites surrounding the city. The first stop is Sacsayhuamán, known for its massive, precisely fitted stone walls and panoramic views of Cusco. You’ll then continue to Qenqo, a ceremonial center dedicated to Pachamama featuring carved rock altars and labyrinth-like passages. The tour proceeds to Puca Pucara, an Inca military and administrative complex used as a control point for travelers, and finally to Tambomachay, a site associated with water rituals and purification ceremonies. At the end of the visit, you’ll return to Cusco between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. The transport will drop you off near the historic center, where you can enjoy dinner or attend a local cultural show to end your first day in the ancient Inca capital.

    You’ll be picked up from your hotel between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. and begin the trip to the Sacred Valley. The first stop is the Pisac archaeological site, where you’ll explore Inca terraces, temples, and stunning viewpoints. The journey continues through Andean communities and farmlands until reaching Urubamba, where you’ll enjoy a buffet lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll visit the impressive fortress of Ollantaytambo, a living Inca town with terraces and temples dedicated to the Sun and Water. After the visit, you’ll board the Expedition or Voyager train to Aguas Calientes, enjoying one of Peru’s most scenic routes along the Vilcanota River. Upon arrival, you’ll be taken to your hotel to rest. In the evening, your guide will give you a briefing about the next day’s visit to Machu Picchu.

    After breakfast at your hotel in Aguas Calientes, you’ll head to the bus station to board the tourist bus to Machu Picchu. The 25-minute ride climbs through cloud forest until reaching the entrance. Once inside, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of about two hours, exploring the main sectors of the Inca citadel and learning about its history and architecture. After the visit, you’ll return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll have lunch and some free time to shop, relax, or visit the hot springs. Later, you’ll board the train back to Ollantaytambo and enjoy the scenic journey through the Urubamba Valley. Upon arrival, a representative will meet you for your transfer back to Cusco. The day ends with your arrival near the historic center, after fulfilling the dream of experiencing the wonder of Machu Picchu.

    Moray and Maras Salt Mines

    You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Cusco between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. and begin the journey through high Andean landscapes, farming fields, and traditional villages. The first visit is Moray, an impressive archaeological site featuring circular Inca terraces believed to have been an agricultural laboratory due to the different microclimates at each level. After exploring Moray, you’ll continue to the Maras Salt Mines, located 30 minutes away along a scenic route with views of the Chicón glacier. Upon arrival, you’ll see over 3,000 pre-Inca salt pools that produce natural pink salt through the evaporation of mineral-rich spring water. In the afternoon, you’ll return to Cusco on a drive of about 1 hour and 30 minutes, enjoying views of the mountains and Andean communities. The tour ends with drop-off near the historic center of Cusco.

    Rainbow Mountain

    You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Cusco between 4:00 and 5:00 a.m. and travel south toward the Rainbow Mountain area. After about 2 hours and 30 minutes, you’ll stop in Tintinco for a buffet breakfast to prepare for the trek. The journey continues for another hour to Phulawasipata, the starting point of the hike. The hike to Vinicunca takes around 2 hours and is of moderate difficulty. Upon reaching the Rainbow Mountain at about 10:30 a.m., you’ll have time to rest, take photos, and admire the colorful landscape, with views of the Ausangate glacier in the distance if weather permits. You will then descend along the same trail and board the transport back to Tintinco for a well-deserved buffet lunch. Afterwards, the return trip to Cusco begins, giving you time to relax and enjoy Andean scenery. You’ll arrive back near the historic center between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m., ending a demanding but unforgettable adventure to one of Peru’s most iconic natural wonders.

    You’ll be picked up from your hotel between 4:00 and 5:00 a.m. and travel to Mollepata for a warm Andean breakfast. Then you’ll continue to Soraypampa, where the hike to Humantay Lake begins. The trek takes about 2 hours, starting with a gentle walk and then a steady ascent. At the top, you’ll enjoy free time to admire the turquoise lake and glacier views. Afterward, you’ll descend back to Soraypampa and return to Mollepata for a buffet lunch. The trip back to Cusco takes about 2.5 hours, with arrival around 6:00 p.m. and drop-off near the historic center.

    Inca Bridge of Q'eswachaka

After a traditional Andean breakfast, the journey continues toward the Four Lakes viewpoint, where you’ll stop to admire Asnacocha, Acopia, and Pomacanchi while learning about their ecological and cultural importance. Next, you’ll take a short interpretive walk to the little-known Pabellones Volcano, a unique conical formation in the highlands. The tour then continues to the Inca bridge of Q’eswachaka, the last handwoven grass bridge in Peru. You’ll learn about its annual reconstruction by local communities and have the option to cross it under supervision.
