Reception at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport and private transfer to your hotel located in the historic center. Free morning to rest and acclimatize. In the afternoon, meet at 12:50 p.m. in Cusco’s Plaza de Armas to begin the City Tour. The first visit is to the Qoricancha Temple, the former Inca religious center dedicated to the Sun God. The tour continues by tourist vehicle to the archaeological sites of Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay, where the guide will explain their historical, architectural, and ceremonial significance. At the end of the tour, return to Cusco around 6:00 p.m. with drop-off near the historic center. Free evening to enjoy dinner or attend a cultural show.
Very early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco and transferred to the train station in Ollantaytambo. You will board the tourist train (Expedition/Voyager) and enjoy panoramic views of the Andes and the Urubamba River on the way to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, an eco-friendly bus will take you up to the entrance of Machu Picchu for a guided tour through its temples, terraces, and ceremonial areas, where your guide will explain its history, architecture, and Inca worldview. After the visit, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes for a included lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where transportation will be waiting to return you to Cusco. You will be picked up early from your hotel in Cusco to start the journey south toward the community of Tintinco, where you will enjoy a buffet breakfast. Afterward, the drive continues to Phulawasipata, the starting point of the trek. The hike to Vinicunca lasts about two hours and follows a moderately challenging high-altitude trail. Upon reaching the Rainbow Mountain, you will have time to rest, take photos, and appreciate the impressive landscapes, including views of the Ausangate glacier when weather permits. The descent follows the same route back to the transport, which will take you to Tintinco for a well-deserved buffet lunch. After the meal, you will return to Cusco, arriving around 6:30 p.m., with drop-off near the historic center and the evening free to relax after a rewarding adventure.
Your final day includes a scheduled transfer from your hotel to the Cusco Airport, coordinated according to your flight time. If your departure is in the morning, you will be picked up with enough time to comfortably complete check-in. For afternoon flights, you may enjoy free time for last-minute shopping or a final walk through the city before the transfer. At the agreed hour, the tourist transport will take you directly to the airport or bus terminal.
