1Cachora
After being picked up from your hotel in Cusco, you will travel by vehicle to San Pedro de Cachora, the starting point of the trek to Choquequirao Archaeological Site. From here, the hike begins through scenic Andean landscapes. After approximately 3 hours of trekking, you will reach the Capulliyoq viewpoint, where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Apurímac River canyon and, in the distance, Choquequirao. You will then descend towards Chiquisca, passing through diverse vegetation and warm canyon terrain. Upon arrival, you will enjoy lunch and dinner, followed by an overnight stay in a local lodge, surrounded by nature and tranquility.

2Capuliyoc
After breakfast, continue your trek toward Choquequirao Archaeological Site, ascending through one of the most challenging yet rewarding sections of the route. The trail climbs steadily through the Apurímac Canyon, offering impressive views of the surrounding mountains and valley landscapes. You will stop in Santa Rosa for a well-deserved lunch before continuing the ascent to Marampata, a scenic area known for its spectacular panoramic viewpoints facing Choquequirao. From here, you can already appreciate the grandeur of the archaeological site from a distance. Upon arrival in Marampata, you will enjoy dinner and spend the night in a local lodge, surrounded by peaceful Andean scenery.

3Choquequirao Wasi
After breakfast, hike for about 1.5 hours to reach the impressive Choquequirao Archaeological Site. Known as the “sister city” of Machu Picchu, this remote Inca complex features well-preserved temples, terraces, storage areas, and ceremonial spaces. You will explore the site with your guide, learning about its history, architecture, and importance within the Inca Empire, all while enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. In the afternoon, return to Marampata along the same scenic trail. Once back, you will have dinner and spend the night in a local lodge, surrounded by the tranquility of the Andes.

4Centro Historico De Cusco
After breakfast, begin your return trek from Marampata toward Capulliyoq, descending into the Apurímac Canyon with impressive views along the way. You will pass through Playa Rosalina and continue toward Chiquisca, where you will stop for lunch and rest. Afterward, the hike continues uphill toward Capulliyoq, the final point of the trek, offering one last panoramic view of the canyon. Upon arrival, a vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Cusco, marking the end of this unforgettable journey to Choquequirao Archaeological Site.
