Discover one of the most breathtaking natural wonders of Peru on this full-day adventure to Rainbow Mountain in the Andes. Your experience begins early in the morning with pick-up from Ollantaytambo or Urubamba and a scenic drive through traditional Andean villages and mountain landscapes. After breakfast in Cusipata, continue to the trailhead to begin the hike. During the hike, travelers walk through the high Andes surrounded by alpacas, llamas, and impressive views of the Vilcanota mountain range. Your guide will share information about the local culture and the natural formation of the colorful mountain. At the summit, enjoy time to take photos and admire the famous mineral colors. On clear days, you may also see the impressive Ausangate. After the hike, return to Cusipata for a buffet lunch before heading back in the afternoon to Ollantaytambo or Urubamba, where the tour ends.
