Experience a shorter version of the famous Inca Trail by hiking to Machu Picchu over two days on this private tour from Cusco. Travel early in the morning to the 104-kilometer marker on the trail, where your hike to the Sun Gate and Machu Picchu begins. The following day, return to the site for a guided tour of the ruins. Overnight accommodation in Aguas Calientes is not included.
Pickup will take place directly at the passenger’s hotel, provided it is located within the historic center of Cusco.
The guide will contact the passenger 5 to 10 minutes before arriving at the hotel and will meet them at the front desk to ensure a punctual and smooth service.
Cusco - KM104 - Aguas Calientes. Your tour begins with a 4:00 pm pick-up from your hotel. We'll travel by car to Ollantaytambo, where we'll board the train to kilometer 104. Here, we'll begin your "ENTRANCE TO THE INCA TRAIL." We'll start your hike, crossing the bridge over the Urubamba River, also known as Willkamayuc, which translates from Quechua as Sacred River. The archaeological sites of Chachabamba and Choquesuysuy are located 15 minutes from the checkpoint. After a 3-hour hike, we'll reach Wiñaywayna (2,650 m / 8,694 ft). The name comes from a beautiful orchid that grows abundantly in the area and means "Eternally Young" in Spanish. The site features more than 20 buildings, including the Temple of the Rainbow, also called the Temple of Fertility. The visit will last approximately 1 hour.

We will take a 30-minute bus ride to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, we will show your "Inca Trail Tickets" and passports and begin your guided tour according to the circuit and ticket. This is a one-way tour. After the tour, we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes for lunch (the order may change depending on the entry time). Finally, you will take the train and bus back to Cusco, concluding your trip. There is only one type of ticket for the "Short Inca Trail." In the event that any type of ticket for Machu Picchu is unavailable, you will receive a full refund of your tour package.
