Experience a shorter version of the famous Inca Trail by hiking to Machu Picchu for two days on this private tour from Cusco. Travel early in the morning to the trail's 104th kilometer marker, where you will begin your hike to reach the Sun Gate and see Machu Picchu. The next day, return to the site for a guided tour of its ruins. Lodging in Aguas Calientes is not included.

You will be picked up from your hotel at 4:00am. We will then go to the train station and leave on the train at 6:10am from Ollantaytambo. Along the way the train follows the Urubamba River until we reach Km104 where we´ll begin our trek. Along the way you will be able to see spectacular views of farmlands and snow-capped mountains and the mighty Urubamba River, one of the sources of the Amazon River. At 104km (2000m) we begin our trek, once we´ve made sure you have everything you need. We provide you your packed lunch, energy drinks and take a group photo before visiting our first Inca site here.If we have clear weather we´ll have tremendous views of Machu Picchu, the Urubamba River and other surrounding Inca Sites

One of the biggest advantages of this hike is that by the time we reach Machu Picchu later in the afternoon, most of the day travelers will have returned home, and you will have it almost to yourself. After taking photos, we take the bus down to Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night in a hotel.

Day 2: Machu Picchu & Return to Cusco: You will take the bus to the ruins of Machu Picchu. A 2 hour guided tour, then return to the village for lunch. You will have free time before returning by train to Ollantaytambo and from there by bus to Cusco, arrival time depending on the train schedule available. "The Machu Picchu tickets is subject to availability, clarifying that the only entity authorized to sell these tickets is the Ministry of Culture of Peru. "Tickets will be purchased according to the available circuits and tickets (corresponding to circuits 1 and 2). Other circuits may be offered with an additional charge for the price difference in tickets. In case there is no availability of any type of tickets for Machu Picchu, you will receive a full refund of your tour package."
