Explore the essence of the Inca Empire in one day. This City Tour of Cusco and Pisac is the perfect combination of living history, unforgettable landscapes and ancient tradition. First stop: Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun) After picking up from your lodge we continue to the Qorikancha, the most important Inca temple dedicated to the Sun god, Inti. Here, the guide will explain the sophisticated Inca engineering and how this precinct served as the basis for the construction of the Convent of Santo Domingo during colonial times.
Visit to the four ceremonial sites Tour We will visit Sacsayhuamán, a ceremonial fortress of imposing stone blocks with panoramic views; Qenqo, a ritual temple with underground passages.
Pisac village and market Culture We will head to the village of Pisac, where you will know its famous artisan market, ideal for acquiring textiles, ceramics and jewelry handmade by local artisans. Then we head to the city center to enjoy a full lunch
After lunch we will visit the archaeological center of Tambomachay, where the guide will explain how this served the Inca culture as the main source of water
Our last stop will be at the ancient Inca fortress, Puka Pukara, where we will have free time to explore, at the culmination we will head to cusco arrival nearby at 5 pm
