Breakfast in Cusipata Arrive in Cusipata and enjoy a hearty local breakfast to fuel up for the day’s trek. This is also a good time to acclimate and prepare for the higher altitudes. Drive to Phullawasipata Trailhead: Continue by vehicle to Phullawasipata, the starting point of the hike, located at 4,600 meters above sea level. Get a safety briefing and start gearing up.

Hike to Rainbow Mountain Begin the trek to Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain). The hike is approximately 7 kilometers round trip and takes you from 4,600 meters to a breathtaking 5,100 meters. Along the way, pass through high Andean landscapes with views of snow capped peaks, colorful hills, and wildlife. Optional horse rental is available for those who prefer not to hike the entire way. Arrive at Rainbow Mountain Summit Reach the summit and take in spectacular panoramic views of the iconic striped mountain and surrounding peaks.
