This is more than a sightseeing tour — it’s a respectful journey into Indigenous stories, history, and land. You’ll experience Alberta through Indigenous eyes: from a scenic drive across Treaty 6 territory to one of Canada’s most immersive cultural exhibits. Along the way, you’ll meet local storytellers, see meaningful artwork, and explore how Indigenous Peoples continue to shape this land with pride, resilience, and beauty. No other experience like this is offered through major global travel platforms.
Pickup will begin at 9:30 AM for a 10:00 AM tour departure. Please be ready in your hotel lobby 5 minutes early.
At Fort Edmonton Park, we’ll visit the Indigenous Peoples Experience — a special section of the park dedicated entirely to the cultures, stories, and traditions of First Nations and Métis Peoples in Alberta. Inside, you’ll walk through beautifully designed indoor exhibits that bring Indigenous history and teachings to life. You’ll see traditional housing, hear Indigenous languages, learn about spiritual beliefs, and explore how people lived on the land long before modern Canada. This experience was created in close partnership with Indigenous communities, and it’s one of the most authentic and moving cultural exhibits in the country.
We'll take a scenic drive through Edmonton’s River Valley, with stories about the land, Treaty 6, and the Indigenous Peoples who’ve lived here for thousands of years. Weather permitting, we’ll stop at ÎNÎW Art Park, where you can see powerful Indigenous art pieces in a natural setting — each one telling its own story. It’s a peaceful and meaningful stop for photos, reflection, and connection with the land.
We’ll finish our day with a visit to a local Indigenous gallery or artisan collective. Guests can explore traditional and contemporary works — from beadwork and carvings to paintings and handmade gifts. Depending on the day, you may also meet a local artist or cultural guide who will share stories about their work and community. It’s a relaxed and inspiring end to your journey — and a chance to support Indigenous makers directly.
