    Sacred Valley of the Incas

    Hotel pick-up from your accommodation in Cusco between 6:30 am, with departure at 7:00 a.m. We start the tour in Chinchero, visiting its archaeological site and a traditional Quechua house to experience living Andean culture and textile traditions. Next, we travel to Moray, an impressive Inca agricultural laboratory with circular terraces used to adapt crops to different microclimates. We then visit the Maras Salt Mines, a unique complex of salt pools managed by local communities, where you will learn about the ancestral salt extraction process. After enjoying a buffet lunch in Urubamba, we continue to Ollantaytambo, known as the “Living Inca City,” famous for its well-preserved Inca architecture and historical importance as a gateway to Machu Picchu. Finally, we visit the Pisac Archaeological Park, with its agricultural terraces and Inca neighborhoods, followed by free time at the Pisac artisan market. Return to Cusco around 7:00 p.m., with drop-off near the Plaza de Armas.
